Starting a new date for your calendar each year: “Go To Church Sunday.” For 2022, it’ll be the First Sunday after Mother’s Day (May 15, 2022)
Your Community Missionaries
We are Missionaries for a local Minnesota community. We have a passion for the lost and desire to introduce as many as possible to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
We further want to help other people to become missionaries of their local area and to share the information we are using to accomplish this goal.
1. A farmer went out to sow his seed. 4. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. 7. Other seed fell among throne, which grew up and choked the plants. 8. Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop – a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. ~ Matthew 13: 1-8
1. Christian Classes, we have plans to offer classes for people to understand and grow in their faith.
Below is a copy of one of our mailings:
Want to learn the ins and outs of End Times? Watch for the Date!
Please join us at our End of Times class Timberlake Hotel in Staples. 9 AM to noon; this includes time to answer your questions. Please contact us below if you need more details.
We do give classes to smaller groups too, please let us know if interested, thanks.
Revelation 1:3: Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.
See further information when you click on “Free Brochures” towards the bottom of the page.
2. We are sending out letters (I call them seeds) to homes in our community asking those that are not attending a Church to visit one in our Community. 3000 each time, we plan to increase the number, as I and others can give full attention to the response.
(we have attached a copy of the last one we sent out with a request for the folks to attend a Church on one side and then an overview of the Old Testament on the other side to encourage them to keep it and remind them of our request that they visit a Church.) Click here to see this newsletter
We are serving the community around Motley to Pillager, to Staples, to Lincoln and Cushing and Leader, and God will expand from there.
Our next letter will be a further invitation to visit a Church and an Overview of the New Testament.
You are welcome to a copy (by clicking here) of these overviews and letters that may be of interest to you and others.
3. Arrange for a supper, once a week if possible, for people in the Church area, at our homes.
Betty and I would begin by inviting our neighbors. Just for a supper and to get to know each other. We would ask each person to tell a little of themselves and I as host would do the same and let them know I am a Christian with our Church, and happy to talk to any of them should they want to. I would encourage other people of the Church to do the same; it may be difficult for others, but we would offer our house. We have recently remodeled our kitchen with this out-reach in mind. I have discussed with a member who would like to invite her neighbors to our home and would help. Like myself, many folks do not know many of their neighbors, so this would be good to get to know them, and gently let them know of our Church and welcome them to attend.
4. Ask if you can pray for others you meet, anywhere.
Probably not too many will do this very often, however, some would, and I will continue to do so. I have prayed for people I have just met; many have had specific things to pray for, others just would like a prayer in general, and have thanked me for it. I have not had anyone give me a hard time of asking them if I could pray for them. Usually I say I would pray for them later that day.
5. We are planning to produce a DVD with a revival message.
I have recently completed the Billy Graham Evangelistic online course (took about 6 months with a wealth of information). I would like to distribute this DVD free to as many people as possible. I would like to compose it based largely on the course, and although I have taught classes and given several Gideon presentations, I do not feel that I am gifted to be a preacher. So, I will be hoping to find someone who has a passion for the lost and will give the message. I am thinking of a title like: “Developing a relationship with God and His children”.
6. Send a note of appreciation to businesses near us.
Teachers, firemen, responders and many others in the community;
Thank them for being a part of growing our community, letting them know we are Christians. Maybe even a gift if appropriate, it would be fun to have a drawing ever so often to give away a prize as a token of our appreciation. We have hand delivered to about 50 business in our area.
7. We have made brochures of:
The truth of Jesus, What Heaven and you would be like, Self-analysis of your gift from the Holy Spirit, and a book-mark with a Christian message. Next plan is to make a prayer “tent” folks can put on their table to remind us to pray. See below for brochures. and click on “Free Brochures” to request any. Each of these brochures that is listed below can be accessed there.
- The Truth of Jesus.
- Heaven and You: what will be in Heaven and what you will be like.
- Spiritual Gifts
We have members that have many brochures and tracts and material that can answer many questions you may have, and inspiring as well, again there would be no charge.
We are developing a team of volunteers to help with this outreach.
It would be just great if you would join us in this out-reach for Jesus.
We will keep in touch with you so you may know how effect our efforts are. Plan on sending you an email quarterly.
It does cost some to do these works, and I hope you are blessed by giving a small amount each month: $20.00 once or monthly (or more), will be of help so you may be part of these good works.
And further even a small portion of your donation will go to a few other organizations that desire to see many accept Jesus as their savior. Click this link to see who else you are helping.
Isaiah 6:8 8Then I heard the voice of the LORD saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
It has taken many years to grow, learn and develop our relationship with God and we have met many people in the ministry that will also guide us to what we believe God has taught us to share.
In His Love,
Dan and Betty Posner
